Sizing Guides
It's important to select the correct instrument size so that playing it is as easy and comfortable as possible. Use the chart below to measure the player and choose the right instrument with confidence Using a tape measure or yardstick, measure the distance between the middle of the left-hand palm and the players neck. ensure that the hand is fully extended and the arm is perpendicular to the body. For players IN-BETWEEN sizes, select the SMALLER SIZE of the two.

Measure and select your Violin size
Stand straight with your left arm fully extended, perpendicular to your body. Measure from the base of your neck to the middle of your palm. If unsure, select the smaller size Voilin.

Below is a general guide to selecting the correct French Horn. Typically younger beggining students will start with single French horn as they are less complex, less expensive and lighter in weight. Double Horns will add an additional rotor valve which gives more flexibility while playing.If your teacher has a reccomendation, you should follow your teachers advice.
