Ensemble Groups FAQ
Band & Orchestra Ensembles
These classes are designed to help your student excel in music. They serve as a valuable supplement to the music instruction students receive in school. They are also considered continuation classes from the Head Start and Fast Track sessions we offer during different parts of the year. If you love band or orchestra, enjoy playing with your peers, and want to have fun, these group classes are ideal for you!
How much is the cost to attend?
Tuition is prepaid and is a flat rate each month, regardless of the number of lessons in that month. Tuition rates for the 2025 Ensemble Groups is $209.00 per month.
When are the ensembles?
1:00 - String Ensemble: Open to students with one to two years of experience playing a string instrument (violin, viola, cello, string bass) - designed to develop musicianship skills as string instrument players in an ensemble and performance oriented environment
2:00 - Chamber Orchestra: Designed for students with two to four years of experience playing a string instrument - focus to assist musicians with honing their performance abilities and personal skill to excel in larger ensembles and with" high school" level music (difficulty).
3:00 - Concert Band: Open to students with one to four years of experience playing a wind instrument - designed to help improve and develop musicianship in an ensemble and performance oriented environment.
Summer 2025 Schedule:
Our group classes will resume weekly meetings for our Spring schedule, beginning Saturday 6/21/25 through Saturday 8/02/25 - with a recital scheduled on Saturday 8/09/25 (details to be determined).
No class will be held on Saturday 7/05/25 in observance of the holiday (4th of July).
**** Both billing cycles for the Summer 2025 Saturday Group Classes will be prorated at 75% of the normal tuition since we will only be meeting for six out of the available eight weeks of the summer session ***

Are Instruments Provided?
No, we do not provide an instrument with the cost of monthly tuition. We do offer instruments for rent or purchase. You can sign up for a rental here.

What If I Can't Make It To All of The Classes?
Our group lessons (e.g. string ensembles, concert band, FastTrack, HeadStart) are on a tight schedule based on the days and times they are offered. Therefore, unlike our private lessons, we will be unable to accommodate or schedule any make-up lessons.
Any pre-planned absences from students should be communicated to the Lessons Coordinator, so that the Lessons Coordinator can contact the instructor to see what curriculum will be discussed and instructed during the absence.
Tuition from group lessons will not be discounted or refunded based on absences. The monthly tuition is paid to secure your personal seat in the group class. If you choose to suspend lessons, we can stop the billing with one caveat: your spot in the class is not guaranteed upon return as spacing in the classes is limited
